Carina State School students in Years 4, 5, 6 and 7 compete
in interschool sport with the Carindale Learning Community
Schools. We offer Winter and Summer sports including; netball,
AFL, basketball, softball, tee ball, soccer, touch and flipper
ball. Carina Sates School has three house groups; Jupiter - blue, Saturn - yellow and Mercury - red. These houses compete against each other in cross country, swimming and athletics carnivals. Representatives from Carina State School go on to compete in District, Regional and State carnivals. In Term four all students in Years 1 through to year 7 participate in a swimming program through the Clem Jones Centre. This program offers learn to swim and stroke correction classes. Carina State School has a tradition of being competitive in Basketball. Our basketball teams play in several competitions with schools from all over Brisbane. |
