How can parents/carers be involved in the life of the school?
Parent involvement in their child's education is vital. Children
whose parents are involved thrive. As such, we try to create as
many ways of involving parents in our school community as
possible. We understand that at times
this can be difficult with the demands of work. The suggestions
below allow you to be involved during and outside of school
hours. Hopefully you can find some level of involvement that
will benefit you and your child;
- P&C meetings are held once a
month on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7pm, the P&C also
run a variety of events throughout the year that parents are
welcome to be involved in.
- Local Chaplaincy Committee
meetings are held two times a term; for dates check the
newsletter calendar. The LCC also run
a variety of events throughout the year that parents are
welcome to be involved in.
- Weekly assemblies are held each Monday afternoon at
2.15pm.
- Throughout the year there are various events during
school hours and in the evenings that parents are invited to
attend - check out our events page.
- Parents are encouraged to volunteer in classrooms or for
other programs that the school runs, you can be a volunteer
on a regular basis or as a one off, see your child's teacher
or the coordinator of the activity you would like to help
with.
- Each fortnight we send home a
newsletter which contains information about the things
that are happening at school. These will help you to
initiate conversations with your child about what they are
doing at school. You can access these via email and the web.
- There are two reporting and parent teacher cycles in the
year, if you need to speak to your child's teacher outside
of this time, please feel free to make an appointment.
- Both the Principal and Deputy Principal are available by
appointment.
- Sports days and Friday sport are great ways to be
involved.

students in Years 3,5 and 7, access this link
