A typical school day.

Literacy and Numeracy are the key stones to all learning at Carina State School. Children are immersed in literacy and numeracy throughout the school day; dedicated literacy and numeracy blocks, an integrated studies unit comprising a combination of all key learning areas, and specialist lessons. Children have specialist Music and PE lessons each week as well as library and computer learning time. Specialist Japanese and Visual Arts are accessed by different year levels.

 

School Routine

 

8.45am Students prepare for class

8:50am School commences

10:50 am Lunch (big lunch)

11:40 Session two commences

1:30 pm Afternoon tea (little lunch)

2:00pm Session three commences

3:00pm End of school day

Children are to arrive at school after 8.30am.
